Mental Health Family ClinicianPosition Location:
Hannick Hall - Newark, NY.
Hannick Hall is apart of our network of addiction support facilities funded by NYSOASAS, the Office of Addiction Supports & Services.
Under general supervision, provides initial assessment, ongoing counseling, and provides family therapy services to clients residing within Restart's residential services to clients.
Maintains confidentiality and ethical standards as identified by the NYS Education Department, NASW or other relevant governing bodies.
Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma informed care environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conducts diagnostic assessments and counseling, or treatment for clients referred by various sources.
Uses the current edition of criteria from the DSM-V to assess mental disorders.
Provides treatment in individual, couple, family, or group therapy sessions depending on client need.
Has adequate awareness and knowledge of medications used to treat mental health conditions.
Completes necessary case record paperwork according to department, State, Federal and carrier procedures.
Routes all paperwork to Clinical Supervisor for review and approval.
Provides group or family treatment to clients in need of stabilization or reunification with children or family members Participates in the development of the client's treatment plan Offers educational information and clinical support to clients needing to stabilize the client's family or marital relationships.
Assists in the development of longer-term goals regarding child custody and placement.
Provides consultation to program staff in the understanding of family dynamics and the impact on the individual.
Completes all necessary documentation in compliance with Catholic Family Center and OASAS regulations and requirements.
Enters notes into medication records, shift logs as required.
Completes incident reports, documenting any unusual incidents or situations as needed.
Participates in relevant Agency meetings and ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills.
Informs supervisor of significant events/issues related to clients as appropriate and follows program's defined incident reporting process as required.
Maintains and develops clinical and professional knowledge by completing recommended education and training, workshops, conference attendance, and readings.
Supports quality improvement efforts, including but not limited to satisfaction surveys, accurate reporting of and use of outcome data, and use of selected quality monitoring instruments.
Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.
Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan.

Position QualificationsEducation:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
Equivalent Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Credentials:
Eligible for NYS Licensing
Experience:
One year of supervised clinical experience preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
