Responsibilities:
Responsible for orientation, scheduling, training and supervision of Floating Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Residential Direct Support Professionals with a relief status.
Creates a resources pool of relief staff availability and works collaboratively with Residential Supervisors to fill shift vacancies.
Tracks and reviews relief and floater training to endure program compliance.
Helps program monitor overtime usage by filling openings with relief staff first.
Monitors utilization of staff and staff scheduling to ensure appropriate levels of staffing at each site.
Completes performance reviews of all assigned staff.
Adheres to Agency policies and procedures as stated with The Arc Wayne personnel policies and procedures.
May provide services at non-traditional business hours.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associates Degree in a Human Services related field preferred.
Two years' experience in an OPWDD-regulated Residential setting preferred.
May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience if applicable.
Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Must possess a current, valid New York State driver's license that meets the Agency driver standards.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to alternate between sitting and standing on a frequent basis throughout the day.
May be required to kneel, push or pull on an occasional basis.
Must be able to use a computer to include such things as typing on a keyboard, maneuvering a mouse, etc.
Must be able to list up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to read, write and communicate with co-workers, contractors and others on a frequent basis.
Must possess sight and hearing withing a normal range (with or without corrective devices).
May be exposed on an occasional basis to blood borne pathogens, moderate noise and cleaning chemicals.
Will interact with individual's who may demonstrate aggressive behaviors both verbally and physically.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm, with flexibility to meet program needs Job Status:
