Summary:
Production Associates are responsible for performing avariety of tasks and processes to complete electronic assemblies and sub-assembliesincluding but not limited to solder, cable assembly, machine operation, finalassembly, PCB, machine crimping and ribbon cable assembly. Production Associates must be able to followestablished methods and procedures to ensure these tasks are completed asdirected by manufacturing schedules with limited supervision.
Production Associate Accountabilities
Level I:
Complete new hire orientation
Possess basic understanding of the ADP system (using the time clock, understand how to request time off, view EE self-service portal, etc.)
Ability to clock in / out of jobs in the applicable system(s)
Ability to read / use a ruler
Ability to read and understand drawings and/or prints.
Comprehend work instructions given by group leaders / supervisors
Cooperate with other areas of the production floor to maintain work flow
Work with team to resolve any issues in a timely manner
Keep work area clean / follow 5S procedure
Suggest ideas to improve efficiency
Possess satisfactory attendance records
Level II:
Must have the ability to perform all functions in Level I
Ability to accurately use hand tools when necessary
Possess basic soldering skills
Possess basic machine operation skills (G Press, Automatic hand crimper, ribbon cable machine, sealing machine)
Possess adequate levels of productivity
Ability to perform all functions and tasks associated with Final Assembly
Ability to perform all functions and tasks associated with Cable Assembly
Ability to perform all functions and tasks associated with Machine Crimping
Ability to perform all functions and tasks associated with Ribbon Cable Assembly
Level III:
Must have the ability to perform all functions in Levels I & II
Possess advanced machine operation skills
Ability to recover from machine errors or process problems with minimal down time
Advanced soldering and repair / rework skills
Ability to use solder extractor tools
Basic computer skills - accurate with data entry
Suggest ideas to improve efficiency
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year experience in a similar position
Physical Activity Requirements:
Work Environment: Production environment where the noise level is generally moderately noisy
Work Position: Primarily sitting
Body Movements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Weight Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
Sensory Requirements: Vision, speech, hearing, smell, and touch are routinely used in day to day functions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
