Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this role iscritical to the success of several core business initiatives across IECElectronics. This person will need to be flexible and adaptive to the varietyof businesses and skills that they will support.
The Training and Development Specialist will partner with HRcolleagues, other employees and leaders to drive innovative and high-impacttalent and organization development programs and initiatives aligned with IEC'sstrategic goals and vision. Design, develop, and implement/facilitatecomprehensive solutions, training, and action plans to improve bothorganization and individual staff performance.
Essential JobResponsibilities:
Advance the training & development functionas business partner that serves as a subject matter expert in the area of trainingand development
Analyze training needs to develop new training programs ormodify and improve existing programs
Delivery, review, and maintenance of training programs ortraining curriculum to ensure the training needs of the organization are met
Developstraining outlines/materials and determines instructional methods such asindividual training, group instruction, webinars, eLearning and workshops for ablended approach.
Designsand develops teaching aids such as training workbooks, demonstration models,multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference materials.
Conductsand coordinates training programs to fit the specific needs of individuals suchas in-house classes/workshops
Develop strong relationship with associates to be the avenuefor information as it relates to training and procedural development
Ability to learn and absorb materials, including systemtraining, quickly and thoroughly
Manage the daily utilization and maintenance of the LearningManagement System (LMS) including:
Instruct employees and local administrators on use of system (teach best practices)
Establish and maintain training curriculums in the Learning Management System (LMS)
Creating and uploading new courses/training and create auto assignments and auto alerts
Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, HR orrelated field plus 5+ years of proven training program development experiencein a manufacturing environment.
Dynamic presentation and facilitation skills andable to present information in a clear and concise manner to a diversepopulation
Adequate knowledge of learning management software
Proven experience in designing multiple trainingevents
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suiteincluding Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong public speaking skills and ability to present material on varioussubjects through both live and computer-based training.
Ability to work in both groups andindependently.
Ability to present complex information to avariety of audiences
Demonstrated commitment to achieving theorganization's goals and objectives
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Familiarity with traditional and modern trainingmethods, tools and techniques
Familiarity with talent management andsuccession planning
Sound decision making and organizational skills
Physical Activity Requirements
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment where the noise level isgenerally moderately noisy
Work Position: Combination of sitting and standing
Body Movements: While performing the duties of this job, the employeemay be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Weight Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
Sensory Requirements: Vision, speech, hearing, smell and touch areroutinely used in day to day functions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
